Ways to Give

Online Donor Services

These sites have been set up to facilitate online donations to charity, and to educate donors and assist them in identifying potential recipient organizations. Many of these sites also post giving-related news and resources.

animalfunds.org

This site by Animal Charities of America helps connect donors with animal charities, and facilitates online donations to those charities.

The Breast Cancer Site
Visitors to this site can click a button to donate free mammograms to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, paid by corporate site sponsors. The site is owned by Tim Kunin and Greg Hesterberg, co-owners of EcologyFund.com.

childrenscharities.org
This site allows donors to find information about and search for credible children’s charities that match their interests, and facilitates online donations to those charities. The site is operated by Children's Charities of America, a nonprofit federation.

duo.org
The Do Unto Others (DUO) site allows groups or individuals to donate to its member charities, which are all focused on easing the suffering of people who have been affected by war, natural disasters, famine and epidemic.

educateamerica.org
This site lets donors search for education-related nonprofits that have been pre-screened and certified by Educate America!, a nonprofit federation. The site also facilitates online donations to these charities.

guidestar.org
GuideStar's nonprofit database provides the largest online posting of nonprofits' informational tax returns (Forms 990). You can search by name, city, state, zip code, interest area, organization size, keyword and/or federal Employee ID Number (EIN). The site provides information on a charity’s mission, programs and finances.

The Hunger Site
A "click-to-donate" site where visitors can go to the site daily and click a button that will trigger a free donation of staple food, paid for by site sponsors and distributed to those in need by Mercy Corps and America's Second Harvest, to the world's hunger hot-spots. The site is owned by Tim Kunin and Greg Hesterberg, co-owners of EcologyFund.com.

independentcharities.org
Independent Charities of America, an association of national charities, pre-screens high-quality national and international charities.

justgive.org
JustGive.org is a nonprofit service whose mission is to connect people with the charities and causes they care about and to increase overall giving. The site allows donors to make online gifts to more than 640,000 charities across the country, and passes through 100 percent of donations to the charities. The site's sponsors pay for all transaction costs and fees.

networkforgood.org
Launched by AOL Time Warner, Yahoo! and Cisco Systems, the Network for Good site is designed to help people donate their time and money to charitable causes online by matching nonprofit groups with donors and volunteers interested in giving time and money to their favorite causes.

womenandchildren.org
This site allows donors to give online to any of the 50 or so members of Women, Children & Family Service Charities of America, a coalition of nonprofits dedicated to meeting the needs of women, children and families.
